You don’t get to look like Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady without a whole lot of discipline.
We already know about the stunning couple’s strict dietary demands — no white sugar, white flour, gluten or MSG — but it turns out their healthy eating habits extend even while they’re on vacation. According to raw food chef Joanne Gerrard Young, who’s cooked for the two at their home in Costa Rica for the last five years, Gisele and Tom do a 80/20 raw diet during their getaways.
“They don’t always do raw, but since it’s so easy to do in Costa Rica, we do a 80/20 raw diet, with big colorful salads and lots of fresh veggies,” Young tells Well + Good. “‘G’ likes to eat vegetarian sometimes, so we’ll do a grain separate from the protein, and she’s totally into juice cleanses, so she’ll do about one per year.”
